Out of a list of the 30 most environmentally friendly hospitals in the world (released by the
Healthcare Administration Degree) 9 U.S. facilities were ranked in the top 10! "Experts chose hospitals based on a combination of criteria such as recycling efforts, certification from environmental bodies and green construction" (FierceHealthcare). The 9 U.S. hospitals are well spread throughout the country spanning from the West to the East coast and covering Mid-Western and Southern geographic regions in between.
