SC Johnson's Green Campaign Strategy

SC Johnson Enlists Bloggers in Green Campaign
We love the idea behind SC Johnson's recent green campaign strategy.
In accordance with the "green theme" of St. Patrick's Day, the campaign launched on March 17th in an effort to encourage families to adopt environmentally friendly practices into their daily routines and become advocates of sustainable behavior to others in their communities. Titled the 30 Green Days Challenge "four families from the US, Canada and the UK agreed to make one 'green-minded' change each day, for one month" (Environmental Leader). A special 'Green Choices' site was created by the company for the featured families' moms (who are authors and bloggers) to post their experiences. In addition to fostering a forum of open conversation around environmental best practices, SC Johnson is giving each family "$10,000 to put towards environmental efforts in their communities."
While the campaign is on a month-long timeline, the awareness it's bringing and the lifestyle adjustments that are being made will continue to have a positive, lasting impression on the thought process of doing one's part to help the environment! Try your own 30 Green Days challenge with a printable action calendar provided here: 30 Green Days
